I’m so happy that I get to do the sketches this month! I love sketches hehe. This first one just fit little cupid Jacob perfectly! I cut the image out and raised it up a bit with dimensional adhesive. His little bow string is actually black wire. The arrowhead is a sticky heart gem. His wing is colored a soft pink then topped with a fine glitter. I had to add some sparkle! We’d love for you to play along!

Hello everyone! 6 more days til Valentine’s Day….are you making cards this year? I am (or trying to! the attempt is there, lol) and would love to see yours:) I am finding the Sunday Sketches a great way to try and get my cards done. My card for this week’s Sunday Sketch features Jacob in all his cherub cuteness…I hope he doesn’t mind that I glittered up his bow and wings, heehee! At least the colour scheme has a more masculine feel….no pink to be seen! I just love Prism cardstock and was so happy when Peg decided to carry the Prismatics line in her store. Prismatics cardstock is smooth on one side and has a beautiful, subtle texture on the other side. I left this card as unadorned as possible so that you might be able to see some of the texture of the cardstock. I wish that I could show you in person, but this is the next best option;)
Thank you for visiting and have a great day!
stamps; Little Loud Stamps; Jacob the Cupid
paper; Prism Simply Smooth White, Prismatics Blush Red Med, Tawny Dark

accessories; Doodlebug Sugar Coating glitter in Lily White and Lady Bug, Dew Drop, Nesties Classic Heart, Classic Circle, Labels Trio

this sketch is perfect for a quick V-day card. I kept mine pretty simple, free-handed the heart and cut it out with deco scissors. the tulle from the January papercard kit was perfect to add a little touch of softness. My youngest picked it up from the coffee table and gave it back to me saying ” for you mommy” aaahhhh…. he just melts my heart.

materials:
cs: Bazzill
pp: Bobunny (love bandit collection)
other: tulle (jan kit), dew drops, deco scissors, doodlebug alpha stickers
I can’t wait to see your V-day cards!

Smile is just what I did when I got my February kit in the mail. Well, that and I jumped up and down in my seat. It’s true. This is such a fun kit that is FULL of color and a bit of a SPRING. Are you ready for spring? Then get this kit for only 11.99. It will put some spring in your step…or your “seat” if you’re like me.
My card today has several of my favorite elements: Glitter, Ribbon, Dots and Flowers. I made this card with Peggy in mind. Did you know that Peggy doesn’t like the color ORANGE? I have this vision of her putting this kit together using tweezers to pluck the ORANGE Ribbon and cardstock into the kit with a disgusted look on her face. LOL. I never used to like orange either, but now I think it adds a definite POP to a card. It’s just FUN.
Did I convince you, Peggy? Well, if not, I hope this card at least made you smile. Speaking of ” smile,” that was created using the Doodlebug sticker sheet and glitter. I also added a bit of sparkle to the die cut using some Stardust Stickles. This was a super quick card to make. Especially since I used this week’s Sunday sketch as my inspiration.
That’s it for me today! Going to go play with my kit some more. See you next week!

Here’s some samples using Zach the Football Player
By Nikki

When I got Zach the Football Player in the mail I was so excited. This past year my son started playing football. I KNOW this is one stamp that is going to get a lot of use at my house. I live in a “football town.”
Recently my son has become a HUGE Notre Dame fan. We just redid his bedroom in all Notre Dame paraphernalia . When my son was home sick recently, we watched the movie, “RUDY”…..3 TIMES! My son pointed out that they shared the same number ( high school) and that he wanted to play at Notre Dame someday. What an awesome dream. I knew I had to use this stamp to make him a birthday card using Notre Dame colors. I bet he is going to LOVE it! This card is a side step card and is super easy and fun to make. I made the banner from a free digital and some wooden skewers. I can just see us using this for end of the year parties for football. My son has already requested that we use it to make his Valentine’s this year.
Materials Used:
Stamps: Zach the Football Player, Have a Ball
Ink: Colorbox Brown, Memento Black, Copics: B39, Y26, 28, 21, 11, C10, colorless blender, E00, 17, 29,
Paper: Green textured, Prism US White, bazzill blue
Other: Star punch, star button, wooden skewers, trim, dimensionals, Stars embossing folder, white gel pen, clear EP,

As some of you may know, Super Bowl Sunday is only days away. I know that my husband and son will be watching it. ( my daughter and I will probably be in the basement crafting and watching something else)
My little guy is routing for the Saints. I decided to make him this for the game. I’m going to put M & M’s inside. That way he can eat them alone or add them to the popcorn that he and his dad will be sharing. This was one of those projects that just didn’t seem to want to work out for me. However, ANYTHING with M &M’s is sure to be a hit! I’m telling you, if you have a football fan in the house you are going to NEED this stampJ Just think of all the possibilities!
Materials Used:
Stamps: Zach the Football Player, Sporting
Ink: Black Memento, Choc Chip Craft, Copics: Y26,17,E29,57,00,C10, colorless blender,
Paper: football DP, Choc Chip, Prism US white and ivory
Other: twill, circle punch, star punch, button, dimensionals, scor tape

So according to Mike, hockey in Canada is to Football in US.
And just in time too! Super Bowl is coming this Sunday, and I’m sure Mike will be wearing his Saint’s jersey the whole day.

He definitely looks like a running back.. (i think) lol.
