Wednesday’s at the Paperworks Blog are really fun because it is the “Wild Card” Day.

Not that our cards have to be wild ;) It’s that Peg lets the DT gal of the day create pretty much whatever she wants! So you never know for sure what you are gonna get!

Here’s a look at my card

Have you noticed that yellow is EVERYWHERE this year…and it should be! what a nice happy color!!

I used these beautiful colors from Prism called Group 6 Yellows.…EEK! these colors are sooo pretty!

I paired the yellow with the Gordie the Giraffe from Safari Friends, who I stamped with Memento and colored with Copics!

Wouldn’t this make a cute baby card!!

Since I didn’t include a tiger on my card in my last post, I thought that I would ink up cute little Timmy for this week’s card.   The March PaperCard Kit has the perfect colours for the little guys in my life.  I have a hard time making cards for little guys, but the kit makes the cards making process a breeze!  Make sure to upload your cards made with this kit to the gallery…I would love to see them!

  • stamps; PWCO stamps; Jungle Jesters Timmy the Tiger and sentiment
  • paper; March PaperCard Kit (Bazzill Smoothies, Prism Simply Smooth white, Three Bugs In A Rug Animal Stackers DP)

I enjoyed this 23rd Sunday sketch so much that I used it for a card featuring cute little Zoe the Tennis player and for a matching clutch purse card.  I used Basic Grey paper from the Wisteria collection. I just LOVE the smoky blues and purples of these papers, I think I’m going to have to buy more of it, because it’s one of my favorite collections from Basic Grey.

Stamp: PWCO Zoe the Tennis Player

    Copics: B91, B93, B95, E000, E00, E11, E25, E29, E31, V09, V15, V17, YG0000, YG01

Designer Papers: Basic Grey Wisteria Collection “Garden Patio” and “Violet”

Brads: Imaginisce Polished Pebbles “Blue Eyes”

Ribbon: Bazzill Basics 7/8″ Dashed “Cream”

love this week’s sketch, i find it’s very versatile.  This week i chose to go stampless…(is that even a word?) I had these big flowers i had gotten at Walmart that were in my give away bin that was perfect for this half circle shape, i just cut it in two and put my sentiment in the center.  Isn’t it always this way? well it is with me anyways, i decide to get rid of something because i haven’t used it in ages and that’s exactly when i find a use for it, luckily i still had these flowers laying around.  LOL!

    materials:

    • pp: Basic Grey
    • ink: Sharpie pen (brown)
    • other: Walmart silk flower deconstructed, American Craft Thickers, glue dots
    • tools: Martha Stewart border punch

    thanks for stopping by,

This is my first card using the wonderful PWCO March kit!  I’m totally hooked now! I love the papers and the embellishments all right in one yummy package!  Everything on my card is from the kit with the exception of the sentiment, but any alphabet set will accomplish the same affect.  The handsome football star is “Zach the Football Player” from PWCO.  The cool ric rak is from the kit and originally a nice shade of yellow.  That didn’t fit my color scheme and I really wanted the ric rak for the cool pattern so I colored it with my BG Copics!  Really handy trick if you need an embellishment color change!  Thanks for letting me share my card.

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Ok…so I lied:)  I said last week I would be gone for a few weeks.  Well, I just couldn’t miss out on posting a creation for the NEW March kit…hee..hee:)

This is a card that came together soooo quickly.  I love the colors in the this kit.  It’s very cute and perfect for boys and babies.  I can’t wait to be able to play with it some more.  I made this for one of my nephew’s birthdays that is coming up.  He has 5 siblings so I imagine being part of a zoo is something he can relate too…LOL.  Pop on over to check out the new kit and all the goodies you get with it.

I will be gone….REALLY… for a few weeks now.  Take care and see you when I return.

    Free for all Wednesday!!

    March 3rd, 2010
    written by Natalie

Yep, today it’s a free for all..well for me anyway! Peg is letting me have Wednesday’s  this month to post anything I feel like! woohoo for me!!

Here’s a look at what I created for today:

I used the super cute new Zach football player. He could be used for all sorts of occasions but I turned him into a birthday card for a 7-year-old boy.  I cut out the green ribbon and star using my Cricut Expressions, embossed the background with the star embossing folder from provo craft.  The 7 tag is from Jillibean soup and thought it would be the perfect addition to the birthday card! the cute little letters on the tag are from Cosmo Cricket…LOVE them!

I stamped Zach on Prisma ultra smooth with my black Momento and colored him with my Copics. What kind of cards would you like to see using Zach the Football player??
