Here’s our last sketch for the year – we’re taking a bloggy break for a couple weeks, so our team can enjoy their holidays with one less commitment on their plates! I’d also like to say a great big thank you to the girls from the DT this term – you were all so wonderful to work with, and I thank you so very much for that! Great job, girls!!

Cute, right?! I was totally inspired by the tree, and had this old Crate Paper pad from last Christmas sitting around.. so out came the scissors & I fussy cut the tree! Here’s what I came up with:

This is my last project on Anything But A Card Sunday. I found this really cute sucker when I was out shopping, and thought it would make a great birthday treat. Here it is:

Isn’t it adorable? !!!!!   I used the monkey stamp from the Jungle Jesters set.  He’s called Mikey the Monkey.  I used E31 and E33 to color him up.  I used paper from my stash to create the holder and die cut out 7, which i inked with TH distress ink and added stickles for bling.

For the next couple of weeks I will be showcasing some of the previous month’s PWCO PaperCard Kits.  Hence the title “A Blast From The Past”.

Needing some  masculine paper for my husbands anniversary card (we celebrated 9 years on November 30th), I found myself perusing through the August 2011 PaperCard kit.   These papers are delicious, and the matching embellishments that came with it just screamed masculine to me.

Lucas the Lion from the Safari Friends stamp set was just perfect, and inside the card I used the Safari Friends ” I am wild about you” sentiment stamp.  And yes, my husband loved the card.

Have you seen those cute little gift boxes that people are making? I really like them but they are so small as you use a 6×6 piece of light patterned paper. I decided to make it bigger, so I used a full sheet of light patterned paper…light weight paper is the best.

Here it is:

I decided to use the Rocky the Raccoon stamp which is available here.  Isn’t he cute?  I colored him with copic makers  (C1,3,5) and added some pearls to the scalloped circle Spellbinder die cut.

I wanted to make a treat box that would hold some Hershey kisses, and this one is big enough to hold at least 6.  It would make a great party favor or a small treat for someone special.

How has your week been? So far, so good in these parts! Have you put up your Christmas trees yet? Ours went up last weekend (finally) – I had to completely rearrange the living room, though! (We’re still ‘settling in’ after being in this house for two years!)

Anyway, it’s time for another sketch! Since we’re going to be taking a bloggy vacay from Dec 15 – Dec 31, the sketches & recipes that go up from this point on will be posted for your insipiration, but won’t be counted towards any prizes.

I thought this one was really great for showing off all that gorgeous patterned paper we all hoard (this is from Dec 2009′s PaperCard Kit – it featured MME’s Colourful Christmas line!), so that’s what I did (along with adding the sentiment that comes with the ‘Magical Christmas’ stamp):

It’s my last post featuring the November PaperCard Kit here. Today, I decided to use the Beary Best of Friends stamp. Now, you’re probably wondering how they could have a picnic in the middle of winter? Well, for people like me who live in California, we never get snow. That may or may not be a good thing…it depends on how you look at it, LOL!

Let’s pretend that they live in Southern California . The holidays are about celebrating family and friends and that is what the Bear and Hare are doing. They are having a grand ole celebration right in the forest! I decided to color the image as colorful as the papers from the kit. To balance it out, I kept the elements pretty simple.

Ribbon- from the November PaperCard Kit.
Brads- Basic Grey (from the November PaperCard Kit).
Stamp- PWCO/ RAM’s Beary Best of Friends
