I love this week’s sketch, clean and linear.  I did change it up a bit though.  On the original sketch the two rectangles were at the bottom and the squares on top.  i moved one over and i also flipped it sideways.  I used the uber cute Aqua Amigos that i received in my happy mail this week!  i kept everything very simple, only cardstock was used. The waves are made with a Fancy Pants stamp i had lying around and had never used and i added some diamond glaze dots all over to make it look like little drops of water (i hope you can see that on the card).  The second turtle and the sentiment have been pop-dotted.  i can’t wait to see what you’ll do with this sketch!

materials:

CS: Bazzill, Prism simply smooth

stamps: PWCO; tommy the turtle and Ollie the octopus, Fancy Pants wave

ink: memento, Copics ( Yg23, YG95, G99, BV08, BV23, BV29, BG10, BG15, BG49)

other: diamond glaze, pop-dots

I just love this kit! Have I mentioned that before???:D  Really, don’t miss out on getting this fun kit.  The papers are so full of color and design.  I’m a flower girl…no not in the wedding sense.  I’m actually the Maid of Honor in my sister’s up coming wedding and I have to wear a CANARY yellow dress….  OHH….let’s not go there.  Back to the flowers.  I’m a flower girls because I LOVE flowers.  They just make me happy.  I’m a sucker for buying anything with beautiful flowers. I had so much fun pairing these  buttons with the primas and then the fun flowery paper that all come together in the kit.  This card was such a  “no brainer.”  I was inspired by the cover of PaperCrafts magazine and Peggy put the kit together.  See…a “no brainer.”  I still have so many more things to do with this kit.  Hmmm…now if Peggy could figure out how to include TIME in the purchase of the kit I’d be all set*wink*

I hope you have a really great Saturday.  I will be taking a break for a few weeks due to a family health issue.  I’ll be back in mid March with more upcoming kit ideas.  I’ll miss popping in and crafting with you all.  Please keep my family in your thoughts while I am gone.  Thanks so much!

BTW, did you know that Peggy is incredibly sweet, understanding and just plain AWESOME?!  Thanks Peggy for being YOU!

Nikki

All supplies used are in the February kit except: embroidery floss, brown satin ribbon, dimensionals, corner rounder

I keep looking at these beautiful inked backgrounds and thinking “I’ve got to try that some day” so when I got this cute Zoe the Skier stamp I decided to ink her up some snow.  This card was really out of my comfort zone, because I’m usually a lots of layers kind of girl, but I’m really happy with the outcome! It’s always fun to try new techniques. I also used Liquid Applique for the first time too, to make her hat look fluffy.

Copics: BG10, BG09, BG07, BG05, C3, C1, E 33, E31, E29, E25, E11, E00, E000, R29, R27, R24, R22, R20

Liquid Applique – White

Tulle – Splash

Button – Yellow

Dye Inks: Beige, Yellow, Light Blue and Medium Blue

Have you got your Feb. Card Kit yet?? Are you loving it??

My card today is all about that BEAUTIFUL Swiss Dot Bazzill paper that comes in the kit!    LOVE LOVE LOVE it with the colors in this 3 Bugs in a Rug patterns!

I couldn’t bear to cover up the cardstock so little strips are added along with the sentiment from Safari Friends Sentiments, by PaperWorks Co.  try this Rhubarb Tart in from Momento stamped on Prism Simply Smooth, they are the perfect combination, the Simply Smooth takes the ink so nicely.

Thanks for stopping by!

Normally, im not a negative nelly.. well.. at least not in public!

But i have no choice but to express my unhappiness today. :(

I have been trying to stall this till the bitter end, but the time has come.

Dawn Easton is one of my favoritest(?) stamper,  DT member,a nd a good friend!.  Sadly, she decided to step down after this month (actually today is her last post.. BOOOOO).  Dawn has gotten a new role at her “real” job and has to devote her time in her new position.

Im extremely happy for her as a friend, but for PWCO, we will definitely miss her bubbly personality,  her super talented skills, and her awesome projects.  Dawn is a good friend both personally and for PWCO, so on behalf of the blog team, I want to wish her the BEST of LUCK!!

XOXO..

p.s:  we’re still going for coffee right? lol…

I was super excited to find a sketch this past weekend that I could use scraps up from the February Card Kit! I don’t like to waste anything…lol! I have a box full of little pieces of paper that I keep because you just never know when you may need one, right?! I really enjoy mixing up patterns and this kit had a ton of fun ones! See that flower? That die cut was part of the kit too! This is a stamp free card. It came together in a matter of minutes!!

I hope you have enjoyed your kit from February!  A new one will be out shortly and I’m sure Peggy has some wonderful goodies in store for next month!

Happy Stampin’

I needed to make a  card for my daughter’s teacher as a thank you for some Valentine Day treats, but couldn’t think of a layout to get the card started.  Sunday Sketches to the rescue!   I used Charlotte (from The First Date) and positioned her on the middle heart (popped up for more depth) .  I promise you, now that Valentine’s Day is over, that this is the last card you’ll see from me using the Nesties hearts and Cuttlebug Heart Blocks embossing folder…lol…I certainly gave those items a workout for the last few months:):)
